Steady, Loving, Serving

There is a difference between simply getting older in our faith and actually growing up. In Ephesians 4:14–16, Paul describes spiritual maturity as becoming steady in the truth, learning to hold truth and love together, and using what God has given us to help others grow. Mature Christians are no longer easily tossed around by false teaching; they remain connected to Christ, speak and live the truth in love, and recognize that every part of the body has a role to play. The question for each of us is simple: Am I just getting older in my faith, or am I actually growing up?
