The Father at the Gate
Jun 21, 2026 • Andrew Scott
This Father’s Day, we explore an unlikely biblical father figure—Mordecai. Though not Esther’s biological father, he stepped into her life when she was orphaned, raised her as his own, and helped shape the courage that would ultimately save a nation. Through the story of Esther, we discover that fatherhood is not measured by control, power, or perfect circumstances, but by faithful presence. Mordecai could not change the palace, but he remained faithful at the gate. Join us as we learn what it means to stay near, speak truth, and call out courage in the lives of those God has entrusted to us.
