WHO WE ARE

Emmanuel Baptist Church is a Christ-centered, Bible-based church, for all people from all over the greater Lewis Clark Valley.
We are a family of believers from every age and stage of life, who gather to follow the "way" of Jesus together.

our mission

Love God.
Love Others.
Impact Our World.

“You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment. And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. On these two commandments depend all the Law and the Prophets.” -Matthew 22:37-40

"All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” -Matthew 28:18-20

The Great Commandment and the Great Commission form the mission of Emmanuel Baptist to love God, love others, and impact our world. It not only informs how we live and obey what Jesus commanded, but our desire and effort to encourage others to obey all that Jesus commanded as well.

our story

How it all started...

What began as a vision of a small group of people has seen many lives changed through the grace of God. In 1958 the group met in a small house situated on the current property. Then in the early sixties they began construction on a two story brick building with a new sanctuary upstairs and Sunday School classrooms downstairs. This building now serves as our nursery, pre-school and youth classrooms on Sunday mornings. In 1973 the new sanctuary was completed for Easter services and the basement fellowship hall was finished months later. In 2003 we received a gracious gift to remodel the sanctuary and update the foyer. Since then we have added the Annex, the corner lot with the picnic shelter, and the mission’s house on the corner of 23rd and 12th. In 2007 we purchased the little green house and garage, which now houses our offices, and the gravel parking lot.

Through many years of devoted prayer, service and God’s faithfulness, Emmanuel Baptist Church has grown into a thriving church that ministers locally and around the world.
